<p>CEO, Mike Bradford, announced the Feb 2012 Business Activity Profile, released today, showed a slight increase in housing activity levels in comparison to the month before and the figures at the same time last year.</p>
<p>&#8220;The total number of documents lodged in Feb this year increased by 10% compared to Feb last year&#8221;, Mr Bradford claimed.</p>
<p>&#8220;There was also a 5.5 percent rise in real-estate activity from Jan 2012&#8243;.</p>
<p>This improvement in figures was energized by an important rise in the amount of strata lots released in February, which rose by 51% compared to Jan 2012, and by 50% compared against Feb 2011.</p>
<p>Mr Bradford said the amount of land transfers had also risen, with 665 more transfers happening in February 2012 than the same time period last year; an increase of 14.4%.</p>
<p>&#8220;This rise in activity was at the bottom of the market, with virtually 50% of transfers happening in the $200,001 &#8211; $500,000 price range&#8221;, he claimed.</p>
<p>Mr Bradford said while the February numbers were inspiring, the market is still operating at relatively low levels.</p>
<p>&#8220;The figures for last month were down thirty percent compared with Feb in the boom year of 2006&#8243;, Mr Bradford claimed.</p>
<p>&#8220;Activity recorded for this fiscal year to date shows the market is operating at 2 thirds the level it was in the same period in the boom years of 2005-2006&#8243;.</p>

<p>Chief Executive, Mike Bradford, said the Feb 2012 Business Activity Profile, released today, demonstrated a slight rise in property activity levels compared to the previous month and the numbers at the exact same time last year.</p>
<p>&#8220;The total number of docs lodged in February this year increased by 10 % compared to February last year&#8221;, Mr Bradford declared.</p>
<p>&#8220;There was also a 5.5% rise in property activity from January 2012&#8243;.</p>
<p>This improvement in numbers was turbo-charged by a serious rise in the number of strata lots created in February, which rose by 51% compared to Jan 2012, and by 50% compared against Feb 2011.</p>
<p>Mr Bradford said the amount of land transfers had also increased, with 665 more transfers occurring in February 2012 than the same period last year; an rise of 14.4%.</p>
<p>&#8220;This rise of activity was at the low end of the market, with virtually 50% of transfers occurring in the $200,001 &#8211; $500,000 price range&#8221;, he revealed.</p>
<p>Mr Bradford asserted while the Feb figures were inspiring, the market is still running at relatively low levels.</p>
<p>&#8220;The figures for last month decreased 30 percent in comparison to Feb in the boom year of 2006&#8243;, Mr Bradford expounded.</p>
