There were Oakleaf Plantation Homes for Sale in 2005/2006 in the low 100’s. I can remember my wife an I shopping for a 2nd home and at that time we though we should wait. Well 2 years later, we decided that we would move forward to purchase the home we had picked out in Oakleaf Plantation. We were in for a shock for real when we found that the 130K home had gained in value all the way to 200k in just 2 years. For a 2nd home, we were not in a position to purchase at 200k and our dream of the Oakleaf Plantation home was down the tubes.

The time has come for home prices to drop and though they have not fallen down to the 2005 values, there are still some great deals for Oakleaf Plantation Homes for Sale. Just the other day I was looking through listings in Oakleaf Plantation and found a home with close to the same layout and comparable square footage. The home is located at 3510 Live Oak Hollow

So I guess my point is that you have to take advantage of opportunities while they are available.  If I could turn back time, my wife and I would be living in Oakleaf and would have purchased when these homes were in the 130k range.  Finding a 2,212 sf. home in Oakleaf for $174 can’t last forever and if we had not already settled in our new home, we would grab this one for sure.
